Room for the whole family
Most of our guests are families traveling together: grandparents, two sets of parents, a pack of cousins. The condo is built for that. Everyone stays on one level, the patios open right onto the pool, and the beach is a short walk across the sand with no elevator in between.

Sandy Beach, Rocky Point
Sonoran Star Resort sits right on Sandy Beach in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, on the Sea of Cortez. It's about a four-hour drive from Phoenix.
Questions
How does check-in work?
Sonoran Star is a gated resort. Before you arrive, send us the names of everyone in your group so we can register them with resort security. When you arrive, check in at the security gate and pick up your wristbands. We'll send your door code before your stay.
When do I need to send our guest names?
Please send the full guest list at least 7 days before check-in. We need every name to register your group with resort security.
How does payment work?
You pay 50% when you book, and the balance is charged automatically 30 days before check-in. If you book within 30 days of arrival, the full amount is due at booking. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. A $250 hold is placed on your card 2 days before check-in. It is not a charge, and it is released after checkout once we confirm everything is in order.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 30 days before check-in for a full refund, or at least 14 days before check-in for a 50% refund.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, 2 nights. Some dates, like holidays, may require a longer stay; the calendar shows the minimum for your dates.
How many guests can stay?
Up to 9 guests.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, we can't accept pets.
Is there a cleaning fee?
No. Cleaning is included in the nightly rate.
